II. Presentation -Dr. Renee Kanan, Regional Medical Director, California State Prison System
 
Dr. Renee Kanan received a medical degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri and master degree in public health from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
 
Dr. Kanan is a board certified internist who has served in physician leadership roles including medical director and chief medical officer positions within correctional settings for more than twelve years.  In addition, she has served as a correctional health care system advisor to various organizations including the RAND Corporation.
 
She currently is working in the California prison system as a regional medical director and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care as the American College of Physician liaison.
 
Dr. Kanan will come onto the call to discuss implementing the PCMH in the California Prison Health Care System.  A PowerPoint presentation has been attached at the bottom of the agenda.  There will be time at the conclusion of the presentation for Q&A.
