V. Speaker Presentation:  Boeing’s Intensive Outpatient Care Program  -- Theresa Helle Manager, Health Care Quality & Efficiency Initiatives The Boeing Company

Theresa Helle is Manager of Health Care Quality and Efficiency Initiatives for The Boeing Company.  Boeing is the world leader in commercial aircraft, military aircraft and missiles, and space.  In her role Theresa manages Boeing’s efforts related to evaluating and improving health care quality and efficiency, such as performance-based networks, care and disease management, provider-specific quality and efficiency improvement “pilots”  and supports Boeing’s involvement in regional and national health care initiatives such as Puget Sound Health Alliance, the Leapfrog Group and Pacific Business Group on Health.  Theresa began her career at Boeing in June 2000 as Manager of Carrier Relations and Carrier Performance Management.
 
Prior to joining Boeing, Theresa worked for Providence Health System in Seattle in a variety of roles including hospital facility master planning, clinical program planning, strategic planning and practice management.  Before joining Providence Health System, Theresa was a hospital planning consultant for a large international architectural firm in Seattle – NBBJ.

Prepare and release value based benefit design white paper that establishes the role benefit design has as the enabler for PCMH

CEE co-chairs are leading the project along with NBCH

Continue messages to employers of need to integrate and coordinate various benefit strategies that promote PCP care and employee engagement.  Including but not limited to:

·        onsite primary care clinics and the PCMH universe

·         the new mental health parity legislation

·        HDHP coverage of preventive services

·        Possible need to incentivize employees to join patient-centered medical homes

·        Needed for employer-to- employee communication on PCMH

Role of data collectors - incidence of disease  +  adherence data

Address one of these topics at each PCPCC Stakeholder Conference in 2010

Update the CEE portion of the PCPCC website to more accurately reflect the goals and expected deliverables of the CEE, including the implementation of some interactive sections to better engage participants, if feasible
