II. Speaker Presentation - Chris Dawe, Senate Finance Committee
 
The Center is pleased to announce that Chris Dawe, from the Senate Finance Committee Health Policy Team, will speak on its call.  Chris will brief us on the Senate's plan to unviel its health reform proposal the last week in April.

The Center is excited to have the following speakers confirmed for the April 28th Annual Stakeholder Meeting CPPI Break Out Session:

  • Dr. Linda Stand, Pharm.D, College of Pharmacy, University of Minnesota
  • Dr. Lynn Mitchell, Oklahoma State Medicaid Director

V. The Pharmacist in the Patient-Centered Medical Home

We are exploring assemblying and drafting a document that will outline the Pharmacists' role in the PCMH model.  The document could include among other items: policy principles, operational issues and payment model examples.  C. Edwin Webb, Pharm.D, M.P.H., Associate Executive Director of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, has completed a "working draft" of a joint document outlining key principles for the interface between the patient-centered medical home and pharmacists' clinical/patient-care services.
